Celebrate bodily autonomy with Cee!
Cee is a disabled, nonbinary, Black person, currently living in a scary southern state. I've gotten to know Cee over the past 7 months, and I very much appreciate their kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to building a life they want to live. It feels so important to me to surround myself with people who refuse to stop building, especially in this political moment. That's why I'm delighted to share that Cee finally has access to an important gender-affirming surgery, which is officially scheduled for June 24th, 2025!
I am grateful that Cee is strong enough to reach out to community for help with related expenses, including the necessary time off from work to recover from their surgery. It's an important political statement for marginalized people, especially Black people and disabled people, to prioritize rest and recovery for their bodies, and I'm honored to be able to participate in that.
